The CHI Brass Geib1 is very much a #1 Geib, the rim, cup and throat are an exact copy of Fred Geib’s personal Fred Geib mouthpiece. The original has a  huge shank that had insertable backbores that were all lost so we have experimented and come up with a backbore that works beautifully with the rim cup and  throat of Geibs own design.
