The CHI Brass 4023 is designed to fit the spot in our line between the popular JS and Jacobs 2 Hellebergs.  We have retained the much loved rim from the Jacobs 2, enlarged the ID from the Jacobs 2 and reduced the JS ID, and used the cup shape of the JS with the throat and backbore of the Jacobs 2.  This gives some of the burly tonal characteristics of the JS Helleberg with a similar ease of playing and ability to get growl in the low register that the Jacobs 2 provides.
