Arnold Jacobs Adjustable Cup Tuba Mouthpiece Silver

Arnold Jacobs had three Adjustable Cup tuba mouthpieces made for him. Jacobs used these mouthpieces to be able to adjust the tone and character of the sound without changing mouthpieces during a performance.  After he passed away these three were given to some of his closest students. Unfortunately one was stolen. The CHI BRASS Arnold Jacobs Adjustable cup mouthpiece is an exact hand made precision copy made in the USA of the one currently belonging to Brian Frederiksen,  Author of Arnold Jacobs Song and Wind.  This mouthpiece duplication is done in conjunction with Windsong Press. Not only to make this mouthpiece available to others but to continue passing on Jacobs’ legacy of teaching, artistry, innovation and brass playing philosophy.  Each Adjustable Cup Mouthpiece is made by Hand, one at a time, by a master craftsman in the U.S.

• Throat:0.330″     8.382 mm
• Shank: 0.520″ This Mouthpiece has a unique shank starts small and has a faster taper.  It will work well on most modern receivers.  Kaiser receivers will most likely be too large without an adaptor.
