CHI Brass IR 1 Tuba Mouthpiece

The CHI Brass IR 1 model was designed to find a perfect EEb tuba mouthpiece. This was accomplished by blending elements of the CHI Jacobs 2 mouthpiece with two of our favorite mouthpieces for EEb made by other companies. The IR 1 has  a very comfortable rim based on the Jacobs 2, a medium depth cup, slightly smaller throat combined with a gradual flaring back bore allowing a big sound with control.  This mouthpiece works well on Piston, Rotary, Compensated and non compensated tubas. Also works well on Contrabass when a more focused controlled sound is desired.
