CHI Brass Sérgio Carolino F2 Medium Weight Signature Tuba Mouthpiece
Power, Breadth & Responsive Flexibility
The CHI Brass Sergio Carolino Signature F2 Mediumweight provides the increased cup volume and broader tonal character of Sergio's F2 design with the added responsiveness and flexibility of a Mediumweight shell.
Developed in collaboration with internationally renowned tubist Sergio Carolino, the F2 shares the fundamental design concept of the F1, including the CHI Brass Floyd Cooley-style rim and Roger Bobo Solo-inspired cup, but features greater cup volume and a larger throat.
This gives the F2 a broader, more powerful sound and greater low-register capacity while maintaining the clarity and agility expected from a professional F tuba mouthpiece.
The Mediumweight shell creates an excellent balance between the stability of the Heavyweight F2 and the resonance and immediacy of a lighter mouthpiece. The result is a versatile F tuba mouthpiece equally at home in orchestral, chamber, solo, and ensemble settings.
Like all CHI Brass Signature mouthpieces, the F2 Mediumweight receives our special resonance-enhancing treatment to increase tonal color, resonance, and responsiveness.
