CHI Brass Sérgio Carolino Signature Medium Weight CC tuba mouthpiece
Depth, Resonance & Flexibility
The CHI Brass Sergio Carolino Signature CC1 Mediumweight combines the extraordinary depth and tonal color of Sergio Carolino's CC1 design with a more responsive, flexible shell than the Heavyweight version.
Developed in collaboration with internationally renowned tubist Sergio Carolino, the CC1 features an extra-deep Geib-style cup paired with the CHI Brass Jacobs 2 rim. The result is a mouthpiece capable of producing an exceptionally broad, resonant sound while maintaining clarity, flexibility, and a remarkably colorful tonal palette.
The Mediumweight shell provides an ideal balance between stability and responsiveness. Compared with the Heavyweight CC1, it allows the instrument to respond more freely and provides greater immediacy and tonal flexibility while retaining substantial core and projection.
Like all CHI Brass Signature mouthpieces, the CC1 Mediumweight undergoes our special resonance-enhancing treatment, designed to increase tonal color, resonance, and responsiveness.
