The CHI Brass Sergio Carolino Signature CC1 Lightweight is the most open, responsive, and colorful version of Sergio Carolino's CC1 design.
Developed in collaboration with internationally renowned tubist Sergio Carolino, the CC1 combines an extra-deep Geib-style cup with the CHI Brass Jacobs 2 rim, creating a mouthpiece capable of producing tremendous depth while maintaining clarity and flexibility.
The Lightweight shell allows the mouthpiece and instrument to vibrate with maximum freedom, producing an immediate response and an exceptionally rich spectrum of tonal color. Compared with the Mediumweight and Heavyweight versions, the Lightweight CC1 offers less mass and greater feedback to the player, making it particularly attractive to musicians who value responsiveness, flexibility, and an exceptionally alive sound.
Despite its lighter construction, the extra-deep cup provides the breadth and low-register authority expected from the CC1 design.
Like all CHI Brass Signature mouthpieces, the CC1 Lightweight receives our special resonance-enhancing treatment, designed to further increase tonal color, resonance, and responsiveness.
